I wont be using the blogspot too much from now as I fell in love with github page.

Why github pages to blog ?
Easy to maintain - just write a markdown and Jekyll translates it to HTML ( Zero work on HTML CSS etc during each blog post)
Make a markdown and commit - Works along with github repo so making a markdown and pushing it to the repo implies doing a new blog post
No design compromise - I hate to edit the blogspot interface, but github pages you just have to make a very simple blog interface and edit it as you wish
